Terry has a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver - Sturm College of Law, and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Metropolitan State College of Denver. He is also a graduate of the United States Naval Nuclear-Power Program.
He is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office, before the bar of the State of Colorado, before the United States District Court for the District of Colorado, before the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit, and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. He is also a member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association, the American Bar Association, and the Colorado Bar Association.
Before law school, Terry worked for many years as a software engineer and IT consultant, with a focus on a wide variety of Internet technologies and the development of B2B and B2C solutions. In addition, he is a U.S. Navy veteran, having served aboard a nuclear-powered fast-attack submarine, and working several years as a consultant in the commercial nuclear-power industry after leaving the Navy.
