What we need from you

For Oppedahl Patent Law Firm LLC to assume responsibility for an existing Madrid Protocol US trademark application, we will need:

• a Madrid Protocol Power of Attorney. This may be emailed to us as a PDF, or may be faxed to us. USPTO does not need the original document.
• information to prepare and file a response to the Office Action.
• if the Office Action asks for it, the "entity type" (e.g. stock company, partnership) and place of establishment (the name of the country where the entity is legally established) for the applicant.

Note that for any new client we will generally ask for payment in advance, prior to undertaking the work.

Note that we do not need you to send us a copy of the Office Action and we do not need you to send us a copy of the trademark application as filed. We obtain both of those things directly from the USPTO, after we learn from you the international registration number or the US application number.
